32 boat docks approved since 1,000 Acre Lake opened

Members of the Carroll  County Watershed Authority  at the Dec. 22 meeting gave their approval for a boat dock  to be built on the Carroll County 1,000 Acre Recreational Lake .

Lee Bergeron of 1310 Reedy Creek Road in the EagleBay Subdivision, Lot 1 made a written request with drawings and a two-dock sample. It was further identified as Carroll County Tax Map 107, Parcel 059.03.

Lake Manager David Rush had advised that the request met regulations and recommended it be approval.

Watershed Authority secretary Kim Carter said 31 boat dock requests have been approved previously by the Authority since docks were allowed at the lake.

Absent from the meeting were board members Brad Chappell and Joseph Butler.
