The investigation of a Paris lawyer by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has been closed, according to the district attorney who reviewed the case.

District Attorney General Jody S. Pickens of the 26th Judicial District made the announcement in a press release Friday night. It reads as follows:”On July 23, 2020, I was appointed District Attorney Pro Tempore to review the findings of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation which was tasked by District Attorney General Matt Stowe of the 24th Judicial District with investigating allegations made against a member of the Henry County Bar. I have reviewed the results of the investigation and it is my considered judgment that no criminal acts have been uncovered. Therefore, I have directed that the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation close the matter. I will have no further comment regarding the investigation.”
